PeopleSIM™

SIMmersion PeopleSIM™ software is a PC-based, voice-activated technology that produces realistic, life-like simulations of people. Each simulation allows the user to develop and strengthen different skills, such as making a sale, gathering information, or understanding cultural differences. To master specific learning objectives, users interact with simulated characters who have emotions and a simulated brain. PeopleSIM™ provides ideal opportunities for practice, as well as training experience, assessment, and feedback.

Realistic Characters

Memory

SIMmersion® characters "remember" the user's questions and statements and respond based on logical behavior patterns. Our characters have simulated brains capable of selecting responses that are reasonable, consistent, and based on the character's actual status or motives (e.g. guilty of a crime, qualified for a job, or receptive to a certain sales approach).

Emotions

Each statement the user makes has an effect on the character's emotional state. Negative statements may cause the character to become sad or angry, while positive statements can make the character warmer and more approachable. The emotional component also helps determine how the character responds to the user's questions or statements. A character in a bad mood may be curt or may withhold information, while a character in a good mood is likely to be open and cooperative when responding.

Advantages

Practice for real-life experiences!

  • As in a real discussion, users easily select from hundreds of questions and statements in almost any order. Unlike other simulations, our simulated characters reply to user statements by choosing from a variety of responses that reflect their emotional state and the logical flow of the conversation. The user is engaged by a natural and realistic conversation that is different with each play.
  • Characters with realistic emotions allow effective training of complex social interactions. Simulated characters are unpredictable and engaging so trainees are often willing to volunteer their own time to play and practice.

Make mistakes!

  • The trainee can intentionally make mistakes to gauge a character's response and reaction. Making mistakes with a simulated character helps users to avoid making mistakes with real people.

Say what you want to these simulated people!

  • Currently, no other technology on the market has a simulated human interface with real-time interaction and free-form logic. Using language that reflects the way people speak and respond to one another in real situations, our simulations allow trainees to select from a multitude of questions and statements on various topics, in almost any order.

Never have the same conversation twice!

  • Our simulated people are dynamic and versatile. At the beginning of each conversation, you don't know what character version you are conversing with. You do not know his emotional state or his motivation. A character's mood changes based on your questions. Each time, you are dealing with a different character!

"As an expert in human performance management, training, and general Industrial-Organizational Psychology, I feel comfortable in saying that the technology that your organization brings to the world really does move the world of training forward in quantum leaps. In fact, I have discussed this technology in the doctoral classroom for 17 years, suggesting that when "it" is available, our ability to train will move in directions that are almost unimaginable."
